Training Plan for Boston Marathon
For the Boston Marathon I started out to use the same program I used for the St. George Marathon. For St. George I to use the new Runner's World Smart Coach, modifying the plan below as I went along, especially after getting a new PR in the Half Marathon.   Previously I used the orignal Runner's World Marathon training program.  For Chicago (October 2004) I based my training on somewhat between the intermediate and advanced programs.  For Salt lake, I switched to the Intermediate only program due to late start deciding to run, having only 13 weeks to train and starting with a low base mile level. For SG, I ran fewer miles, with more focus on speed workouts, long runs and races (half marathon and triathlon). Since the marathon is on a Monday, I shifted some training by one week.
